Q Do you only work on projects that are kitchen and bath related? Do you do any commercial work?

 

A We can assist you with all types of projects, laundry rooms & mudrooms, home offices, built in media units and custom fireplace mantles and sourounds . We do light commercial work such as doctors offices, post offices etc.. As a full service contractor we can take care of your project from floor to ceiling, everything you see, drywall, trim, doors, and everything you don’t see, plumbing, electrical, insulating.

 

Q I haven’t built my house yet, can you still help me?

 

A For new construction we will create a design based on our blue prints. Final measurements can be taken once the house is framed in.

 

Q Are you considered the general contractor or “GC”?

 

A Yes we can act as the general contractor on your project and coordinate all aspects including other trades, but we can also work with you and your GC to provide specific services such as a bath installation.

 

Q Do you have references?

 

A We have an extensive list available upon request. It is regularly updated and categorized according to project type. Additionally many of our customers welcome your visit so you can check out of work first hand.

 

Q I have no idea how much my project will cost. Can you help me achieve my dream and stay within my budget?

 

A At Whitewood we help you to understand your project. We will help break down the costs and your budget. We can encourage appropriate product choices to your needs and your budget.

 

Q What happens to our blueprint drawings and renderings and the initial fee if we opt out of the project or put the project on hold?

 

A The fee covers the associated costs with the preparation of the drawings and final costs. We keep the fee, and the drawings become yours. Should you proceed with your project at a later date we can us the existing drawings and give you a credit for the fee towards a new contract.

 

Q Once the drawings are done can we still make changes?

 

A Yes you will still be able to review and make changes. When you are happy with the final design we will move into production mode.

 

Q How long does the process take?

 

A The time will very greatly depending on the size of your project and whether or not we are supplying the cabinetry. If we are supplying the cabinetry, your project start date will be 4 to 8 weeks from the date the order is placed. We keep you informed of expected delivary dates. Once your order arrives we will complete your project  in a timely manner  and without unnescessary delays. We will communicate the timing of your project in the preliminary stages of the process and coordinate our schedules with yours.
